    This board is informational, not a launch authorization. Club boats and boards may not be used during a Small Craft Advisory, Gale or Storm Warning, or high surf. The final call always rests with the on-water coach and the official NWS forecast. Wind is the direction it blows from — westerly winds are offshore here and push paddlers away from the launch. Water temperature is the Waukegan NOAA gauge (year-round); waves are the Waukegan buoy when deployed (≈ Apr–Nov), otherwise the NWS forecast.
